A wide, eye-level shot of the primary memorial display set on a bed of grey gravel under a bright, clear blue sky. In the centre sits a dark firefighter turnout coat topped with a black FDNY helmet bearing shield number "343". To the left stands a wooden flagpole displaying the Irish national flag (green, white, and orange). To the right stands another flagpole displaying the FDNY flag (red and white stripes with the departmental seal). Beside the flags stands a tall, upright grey limestone boulder. Mounted atop the boulder is a custom black iron cross emblem containing a firefighter ladder, fire hose, the number "343", and the letters "N Y". At the base of the stone lie flowers and a small rusted cross. In the background, a woven willow fence separates the gravel area from a green field and corn crop.
