Trees and People
by Jeremiah Aherne

Memorials

At the dawning of the day
Trees awaken from sleep
They put on their leaves
They bask in the beauty of the day
They shed their leaves
Return to sleep
At the closing of the day
Trees do this once in the year
People do this every day of the year
