Nestled in the peaceful countryside between the village of Ballinspittle and town of Kinsale, County Cork, the Ringfinnan Garden of Remembrance stands as a living tribute to the 343 members of the FDNY who tragically lost their lives on September 11th, 2001.
Established by Kathleen Murphy – a former nurse at Lennox Hill Hospital – each tree in this quiet sanctuary was planted on Kathleen’s land in honour of an individual FDNY member, marked with their name, unit, and a flag.
